The Spring recreational season is geared towards beginner wrestlers looking to be introduced to the sport of wrestling or to further hone their wrestling skills. The 6 week season will consist of weekly practices and local competitions against surrounding recreation departments.

New in 2025
We are excited to announce the addition of a Blacksburg team for the 2025 season. With the help of coaches from Blacksburg, VAE aims to elevate the local wrestling scene and provide expanded opportunities for young athletes. The teams will practice together, taking advantage of additional training partners, but will compete as separate teams. The integration is expected to strengthen the skill development of the athletes. Coaches from both programs are excited about the future, emphasizing the shared commitment to fostering discipline, sportsmanship, and excellence on and off the mat.
